JOIN US FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING CANDIDATE FORUMS IN 2026!

KEEPING HOUSING AFFORDABILITY FRONT AND CENTER THIS ELECTION YEAR!

Partners for Affordable Housing will host a four-part candidate forum series in 2026, called Housing is a Math Problem, providing a high-visibility opportunity for candidates to articulate policy positions and ideas for addressing our region's top challenge: low housing production and high housing costs.

The Housing is a Math Problem candidate forum series offers a nonpartisan deep dive into the policies and approaches that candidates believe can change the cost and production equation and lead to the greatest impacts in solving our housing crisis.

Join us for our first event with our Deschutes County Commissioner Candidate Forum! This event is free and open to the public.

  • 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 30

  • Open Space Event Studios, 220 NE Lafayette Avenue, 97701

Questions will be provided by Partners for Affordable Housing members. Our media partner, Central Oregon Daily News (KOHD), will emcee the event and provide the recording on their site. The video will also be available on this site.

Candidates who had raised $1,000 or more by March 1 were invited to participate.

The series aims to offer the following three additional events:
