KEEPING HOUSING AFFORDABILITY FRONT AND CENTER THIS ELECTION YEAR!
Partners for Affordable Housing will host a four-part candidate forum series in 2026, called Housing is a Math Problem, providing a high-visibility opportunity for candidates to articulate policy positions and ideas for addressing our region's top challenge: low housing production and high housing costs.

The Housing is a Math Problem candidate forum series offers a nonpartisan deep dive into the policies and approaches that candidates believe can change the cost and production equation and lead to the greatest impacts in solving our housing crisis.

Our series started with our Deschutes County Commissioner Candidate Forum on April 30. Over 100 people attended the free and open-to-the-public event. Members of Partners for Affordable Housing posed questions to the candidates. Our media partner, Central Oregon Daily News (KOHD), emceed and recorded the event. Below is the full video of the forum.

Note: Candidates who had raised $1,000 or more by March 1 were invited to participate.
The series aims to offer the following three additional events:
-
Gubernatorial Candidate Forum
